Oksana Kalala established New Arrivals Support CIC as an emergency response initiative to address the migration crisis caused by the war in Ukraine. Along with a team of local activists who possess vast knowledge and experience related to various migration challenges, refugee crises, working with marginalised communities, modern slavery, trafficking, domestic abuse, and extensive safeguarding concerns, Oksana founded a thriving non-profit organisation that caters to the needs of the refugee and migrant communities.
We aim to create a fair world where asylum seekers, refugees, and migrants have a voice and equal opportunity to succeed in life.
Our mission is to prevent inequality and poverty among new arrivals by providing information, support, advice, and advocacy for their overall well-being. We promote health and well-being, encourage integration and community development, and advocate for human rights, equality, diversity, and the prevention of generational poverty. We amplify the voices of new migrants and champion their experiences, acting as a resource body to raise awareness among policymakers and other stakeholders in the voluntary sector.
Our team consists of devoted bilingual professionals who possess lived experience and are enthusiastic about bringing about a positive change in the lives of our clients. From directors to caseworkers and volunteers, we collaboratively work to provide comprehensive support to the individuals we serve.
